Every year the City of Austin conducts an annual Point in Time count. The Point in Time (PIT) Count is where individuals experiencing homelessness in the City of Austin are counted.
The data collected on this one night informs the Federal government how much money Austin needs to support programs and agencies like LifeWorks, for these individuals in the coming year.
If you have participated before, it is a lot of fun and if you haven’t, I would encourage you to volunteer. It takes over 600 volunteers throughout the city to make this happen.
There is an orientation for everyone who participates, no experience necessary, and you are never alone and always working in teams.
Please consider participating in the PIT Count by signing up below.
