Project Holiday Help 2020 Recap

‘Tis the season for giving, now more than ever. Like many in our community, LifeWorks clients felt the challenging impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Even during a difficult year, our staff and generous donors were determined to carry out LifeWorks annual Project Holiday Help event. Every year during December, donors are matched with a LifeWorks youth (between 16-24 years old) or a young family in need. The donors shop for the clients providing them gifts from their wish list and brightening their holidays.

This year was no exception.

More than 120 sponsors purchased beloved gifts for over 180 youth and families receiving support from LifeWorks. From bikes to guitars, mattresses to dressers, kindness was delivered in all sizes this year. Popp Hutcheson, VMware, AMD, and Anne-Marie Cancienne not only sponsored multiple families, but many of them also held LifeWorks gift card drives. A special thanks to everyone who donated their resources, time and efforts to make holiday wishes come true.

Project Holiday Help demonstrates the tenacity and heart of both the community and staff. Between April and October alone, LifeWorks and its partners have housed 241 youth and young adults experiencing homelessness.
