Life Skills
Getting ready to live on your own can feel like a lot, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. Our life skills classes help you build real-life skills to take on adulthood with confidence.
Topics include:
Finding and keeping stable housing
Budgeting and managing your money
Getting and keeping a job
Finding your way around town
Making decisions and taking on responsibilities
Building healthy relationships
Sexual and reproductive health
You’ll learn through group activities, guest speakers, field trips, and honest conversations with other young people. It’s hands-on, practical, and designed to meet you where you are.
For youth who are 16 or 17 and in foster care, we also provide Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) classes.
Family planning & parenting skills
Our family planning and parenting classes provide tools for informed choices and confident caregiving.
Topics include:
Sexual and reproductive health education
Safe relationships and consent
Parenting skills for young parents
Classes are offered in both one-on-one and group settings. Some classes are provided in partnership with local schools. Classes are free, flexible, and offered year-round, so you can start anytime.
