To be considered for any LifeWorks housing option, you must:

    • Be 24 or younger

    • Be experiencing homelessness in Travis County or Austin

    • Complete a “Coordinated Assessment” (this can be done at LifeWorks)

To learn more or apply to the waitlist, call LifeWorks at (512) 735-2400.

Note: If you can identify an adult who could potentially provide you with safe and stable housing, you may be eligible for our Diversion program or family reunification. Call us at the number above to ask about eligibility.

  • You may be eligible for our housing services if you are at immediate risk of homelessness, if you are “literally homeless”, or if you are fleeing unsafe situations like domestic violence.

Learn more about these official definitions.

  • Completing the Coordinated Assessment is the first step toward getting housing.

A Coordinated Assessment is our community’s centralized housing assistance application for people experiencing homelessness.

Once you’ve complete your Coordinated Assessment, you will be placed on a city-wide housing prioritization list. Once you’re on the list, you can be given different housing options with organizations like LifeWorks. (Note: Your place on the list may change as more young people are assessed.)

To check if you are eligible for the Coordinated Assessment, call or text (512) 473-9125

  • You may be eligible for “After Care Transitional Services,” also known as ACTS. ACTS offers one-on-one help—including finding housing, financial support, help with education and work, and more.
